When I was a kid I wasn’t allowed to watch the Simpsons… now, I have almost every season on DVD. Of course I get why my parents didn’t want me watching it, the characters can be pretty crass at times. What parent would want their kid mimicking the behavior of Bart Simpson:
‘I’m calling for Mr. Hugh Jass’
But, there’s no denying the Simpsons are iconic. They embody the slightly deranged though lovable nature held within all of us. There’s nothing more fun than seeing a well known figure transformed into a member of the cast. When they’re a fashion personality? Even better. Fingers crossed the producers take note and make an episode shot in Capital City during fashion week.

It’s Monday morning and outside the rain is pouring down. This past week I discovered the wondrous nature of the kiwi. If you’re feeling any sort of winter blues I can’t recommend them enough – it’s like a burst of summery sweet magic. Every time I looked down at my kiwi, sliced in half and sitting on a plate, I felt like two little eyes were staring up at me. So, it seemed only natural, that those little eyes be given a face. Et voilà, there you have it: Ms Fruit Face. She’s clearly a girl – the earrings give it away. On a side note: have you noticed how many designers have been using fruit and vegetables as inspiration lately (some more obviously than others)? I think food and fashion should go hand-in-hand.
Wishing you a very happy week. xx
It was a chilly afternoon a few weeks ago in London and the perfect opportunity to try out a bit of levitation. It’s a tricky thing to do. You’ve got to concentrate really hard, think light thoughts, imagine yourself floating above the ground… but most importantly jump high, be still, and try to snap the photo while you’re headed up rather than when you’re crashing back towards the ground.
It was Shini that introduced me to the wonderful world of Natsumi Hayashi and her levitating antics. Seriously, how does she get so high? Does she have an invisible trampoline underneath her? Is she actually a life sized puppet held up by strings? I’m not sure but I’m hooked and I have a long way to go in learning how to levitate.
Photos taken by Shini. Reflection also includes Miss Kit Lee. Wearing: Vivetta CrisCris coat, Seven for all Mankind skinny jeans, SAMBAG tote, Laird & Co Hatters crushable fedora and Converse.
Currently obsessed with this Elizabeth Lau jumper from her AW11 collection. Perfectly suited for letting people know who’s boss.. Cockney style. More photos coming soon. Taken by Kit.

When four dozen hot pink and purple Krispy Kreme doughnuts landed at Somerset House on the last day of fashion week people went mental. Food at fashion week? Surely everyone would shy away and nibble on their inner lip rather than be seen stuffing food into their face in public. Not so, these little babies were too good to resist and it was impossible for anyone to take themselves too seriously while biting into one.
In celebration of Glamour’s 10th anniversary the magazine has teamed up with Krispy Kreme UK to produce the… wait for it… GLAMOUR Glaze which is modeled off every girl’s favourite accessory: lip gloss. This limited edition doughnut is currently available at Krispy Kreme shops across the UK. It is pretty similar to a normal glazed doughnut but with a slight strawberry or black current taste. Yumm.
p.s. while they might be modeled off lipgloss I don’t advise actually attempting to wear the glaze as lipgloss… a few of us tried and it was quite the messy ordeal, although, it was very tasty to lick off.
Big thanks to Remy for providing the doughnuts and Abi for picking them up.
